The studio of 50 m² is located at the penthouse of a seven-floor office building in the city center of Athens Greece. It has an almost square floor plan; the two parallel sides of the building are attached to contiguous buildings, the façade of the flat, that has view on the street, faces a terrace and its parallel side is open to the back yard.
Αυτό το μικρό μονόχωρο διαμέρισμα των 50 τ.μ. βρίσκεται στον τελευταίο όροφο ενός επταόροφου κτιρίου γραφείων στο κέντρο της Αθήνας. Με τετράγωνη σχεδόν κάτοψη, έχει τις δύο απέναντι πλευρές τυφλές σε μεσοτοιχία και τις άλλες δύο με μεγάλα ανοίγματα: τη μία προς τη βεράντα και την άλλη προς τον ακάλυπτο.

The dominant component of this interior space is a vertical panel that follows an imaginary line that of a lobby corridor and acts as a partition. This long panel, which runs through the apartment from the entrance to the opposite wall where the terrace begins, divides the floor plan in two sections and consequently separates the uses. On the left hand side are located an open plan kitchen, bathroom and wardrobe and on the right hand side is located a wide space that functions as a living room, a home office and a sleeping area.
This panel was approached as a single interior facade and is coated with beech-wood panels in combination with stripes of white lacquer painted panels. On this panel are placed the wardrobe doors, the bathroom door, cupboards, doors that cover a built-in television set and a built-in washing machine, and lastly the vertical panels that protect the kitchen bench.
Finally, there is a cherry-wooden floor that unifies the different sections of the flat whilst the variable levels and materials of the ceiling (visible concrete over the central section and split-level plaster panels in the rest of the ceiling) emphasize the main subdivision of space.
Με άξονα τον διάδρομο εισόδου, το ένα τμήμα της κάτοψης καταλαμβάνεται από έναν μεγάλο ενιαίο χώρο (καθιστικό, εργασία, ύπνος) και το άλλο από την ανοιχτή κουζίνα, το λουτρό και αποθηκευτικά ερμάρια. Το διαμέρισμα προεκτείνεται σε μία μεγάλη βεράντα με μεγάλες συρόμενες θύρες.
Στο σχεδιασμό του χώρου κυριάρχησε μια μεγάλη ενιαία επιφάνεια – διαχωριστικό η οποία ακολουθεί τον νοητό άξονα του διαδρόμου. Αυτή η επιφάνεια διαχωρίζει τους δευτερεύοντες χώρους από τον μεγάλο κύριο χώρο διατρέχοντας το διαμέρισμα από την θύρα εισόδου έως τη βεράντα. Αντιμετωπίστηκε σχεδιαστικά ως ενιαία εσωτερική όψη και επενδύθηκε από επιφάνειες οξιάς και ζώνες από λευκή λάκα. Επάνω σε αυτήν την «όψη» βρίσκουμε τις πόρτες των ερμαρίων, την πόρτα του λουτρού, πορτάκια αποθηκευτικών χώρων και χώρων για εντοιχισμένη τηλεόραση και εντοιχισμένο πλυντήριο και επιφάνειες που προστατεύουν τους πάγκους της κουζίνας.
Το ξύλινο δάπεδο κερασιάς ενοποιεί τους χώρους ενώ οι οροφές (στον κεντρικό χώρο από εμφανές σκυρόδεμα και αλλού από ανισοϋψείς ψευδοροφές γυψοσανίδας) τονίζουν τις επιμέρους χωρικές ενότητες.
